Edmundsbury Court Tenants and Residents Association (“Edmundsbury TRA”) aim is to engage tenants, leaseholders, residents in working with each other, with Lambeth Council, the local community and local agencies and facilities so that its residents safety, wellbeing, welfare and sense of belonging can thrive.
Hire our Community Hall
We have a community hall on our estate where we organise various activities such as Tai Chi, Keep Fit and an After School Club.
We also hire out the space, prices start at £15 an hour for the main hall and £10 an hour for the kitchen.
The role of the TRA Committee is to manage the community hall (and other community spaces) to use for residents activities and to hire it out to provide an income. This income is used to make improvements to the hall, and any surplus is put into a Community Fund. The Fund is available to all residents living on the estate to fund resident-led projects that benefit the whole estate.
Areas of focus are:
- Community Engagement (e.g. summer coach trip)
- Education (e.g. homework club)
- Wellbeing (e.g. keep fit)
- Environment (e.g. garden, food growing and composting)
Diversity & Inclusion
Edmundsbury Court Estate accommodates all ages and many nationalities. Without intending for anyone to feel left out, the TRA is mindful to cater for:
- Older people
- BAME residents
- Disabled residents
- Young people
